Description
Winemaking
From A Coroa’s commitment to the land of Valdeorras and the vines used to craft the finest wines, we offer this limited production according to the vintage.
200 Cestos is the result of harvesting 100% Godello grapes from our most emblematic vineyard, Valdeaugas, where 80-year-old vines coexist with new plantings on stone terraces over 600 meters above the Bibei River.
Located in the municipality of O Bolo, in the town of Lentelláis and the Bibei valley, the vineyard occupies a privileged site that makes each harvest a very special milestone.
The vineyard’s granite soils and the Atlantic-influenced microclimate combine with fermentation in French oak foudres and subsequent bottle aging to deliver a Godello with a distinctly mineral character.
A Coroa 200 Cestos is a wine with noble evolution and outstanding aging potential.
Tasting notes
Colour: Its visual phase shows a bright greenish-lemon tone full of vibrancy, reflecting great vitality and freshness.
Nose: On the nose, it presents aromatic sensations of fresh grass. As it develops, yellow plum and white flowers (honeysuckle) emerge, enveloping us in refreshing notes. At the same time, it is a wine with good ripeness, reflecting excellent alcohol potential perfectly balanced with a magnificent citrus acidity (red grapefruit), which maintains its length on the palate.
Palate: The entry on the palate is powerful, with a rich, lively flavor (citrus gummy, lime), full of energy, with fennel bitterness and lemon verbena infusion—typical of a great wine, predicted to have a long life and noble evolution in the bottle. It also displays a mineral background characteristic of the granite terroir typical of the vineyard that produces this wine.
