Description
Winemaking
The white grapes of the “Viura” and “Malvasía” varieties used to make this wine come from the highest and poorest areas of our old vineyards, where the exposure to air and sunlight allows the vines to produce their finest fruit.
Fermented in new fine-grain Allier oak barrels and then aged on the lees in the same barrels for 18.5 months. A batch of 3,600 bottles was bottled in June 2017.
Tasting notes
Colour: Old gold with greenish reflections. Clean and bright.
Nose: Initially, intense and complex notes from its aging in fine oak barrels, with hints of white truffle. Swirling the glass reveals aromas of white chocolate and even ginger, accompanied by toasted pastry cream notes.
Palate: The attack is fresh and saline, very mineral. Elegant and silky on the palate, with mineral and creamy sensations. Long on the finish, with hints of nuts, such as hazelnuts. It will gain complexity with further bottle aging.
